91¿ì²¥ has announced modified campus operations due to inclement weather and hazardous conditions impacting the region. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution, with the safety of students, faculty, staff, and the campus community as the top priority.
On-Campus Operations
On-campus operations will be suspended effective at noon on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Academic Operations
- All classes convening after the noon hours on Friday will transition to a virtual format via Canvas. All in-person classes will continue in a virtual format via Canvas on Monday and Tuesday.
- Faculty and students are encouraged to monitor Canvas and official university communications for additional instructional guidance.
Staff Availability
- Certain essential staff may be required to remain available to support critical university operations, as directed by their respective supervisors. Normal campus operations are expected to resume on Monday, pending further notice.
Dining Services
Dining services will operate under modified hours from Friday through Tuesday:
- Brunch: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Dinner: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Additionally:
- Box lunches will be available Saturday through Monday.
- A continental breakfast to-go option will be provided as an added safety measure.

Members of the MVSU community are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel, continue to monitor local weather conditions, and remain attentive to official university communications for updates regarding campus operations.
